Warning Signs:
Possible Patient Warning
Signs:
Fainting or seizure during exercise or emotional expression
Detection of undiagnosed heart murmur or elevated blood pressure
Excessive shortness of Breath or persistent chest pain with exercise
Family History Warning Signs:
Sudden unexplained and unexpected death before age 50
Family members with unexplained syncope or seizures
Family history of significant arrhythmias, pacemaker, Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator
Family history of accidental death (for example: car accidents, drowning)
Family members diagnosed with any genetic disorder predisposed to sudden cardiac death.
If any of these symptoms are present in your child or you have a family history of these warning sign’s,
please discuss them with your child’s doctor.
If your child plays schools sports, ask your child’s school administrators if they have and AED (automated external defibrillator)
and personnel trained to use it.
